Originally from Illinois, Dr. Maly grew up in Western Springs and attended the University of Illinois as an undergraduate before going on to Loyola University Dental School, where he graduated in 1991. He moved to South Haven in 1992 where he worked with Dr. Curtis Hood and took over his practice in 1993. Dr. Maly built a new Unthank Design Group Dental Office in 2003. https://www.unthank.com/ Dr. Maly loves dentistry and treating patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, the Kalamazoo Valley Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and the Chicago Dental Society.
Cynthia joined our team in March 2025. She comes to us with over 30 years' experience and graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College with honors.
Cynthia grew up in Vicksburg and now lives in the Paw Paw area. When Cynthia is not in the office, she enjoys crafting, sewing, knitting, and embroidery.
Crystal is the first person you will meet when you visit our office. She is our office manager and joined our team in March 2025. She keeps our office organized and running smoothly. Crystal's goal is to present a friendly smile and welcoming attitude to everyone she encounters at our office.
Crystal grew up in Covert, where she still resides with her husband and daughter. Crystal also has 2 grown sons and 2 grandsons. When she is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending concerts, and chasing the beautiful sunsets Lake Michigan has to offer.
Our Hygienist, Alicia, has been working in the dental field for over 20 years and has been a hygienist since 2006. She works in our office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and has been with us since 2023. Alicia is passionate about helping patients improve their oral health and likes making her patients feel welcome and comfortable.
Alicia grew up in Southwest Michigan and lives in South Haven with her husband and children. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Jackie joined the team as Dr. Maly’s assistant in January 2022. Jackie graduated from the dental assistant program at Grand Rapids Community College in 1995. She has spent most of her dental career in orthodontics and is now enjoying the change to general dentistry. Jackie’s top priority is to make our patients feel comfortable during their dental procedures!
Born and raised in Holland, now residing in Douglas, Jackie and her husband have a combined family of 5 (now adult) children. Jackie loves to decorate, spend time outdoors, and cook for family & friends with her husband.
